Description:
Half Moon Lake is a scenic lake of consisting of 63 acres of surface water with estimated depths of 70 feet. On the Northern lakeshore, thirty six acre Moore Park offers 1500 feet of lakefront enjoyment. This Muskegon County Park offers picnic tables and grills, a small covered shelter and restrooms. There is also a gravel boat launch at the far end of the park. Half Moon Lake is known by fishermen for Black Crappies, Bluegill, Rainbow Trout, Steelhead, Large Mouth Bass, Northern Pike, Pumpkinseed and Yellow Perch. Half Moon Lake is easily overlooked by many traveling north or south along M37. If you have a little extra time stop to take a closer look. You may just come home with some fresh fish for dinner. |
