Description:
Crooked Lake is a Michigan lake located in Emmet County. This beautiful Michigan lake has 2300 areas of surface waters with the maximum depth of fifty feet.

Fishermen have reported catches of Walleyes and Northern Pike.

Crooked Lake is home to the Ponshewaing Nature Preserve (11 acres), located on US 31 in Alanson, on the North side of the lake.

Further North where the Crooked River flows into Crooked Lake is the home of the Inland Waterway Nature Preserve (23 acres) and the KreagNaturePreserve (18 acres).

Within the lake, Oden Island is home to the OdenIslandNaturePreserve (53 acres) which is connected to the mainland by bridge.

Crooked Lake is adjacent to Pickerel Lake and connected by channel. On the North shoreline of the channel is the home of The Black Hole Nature Preserve (119 acres).

We arrived two days ago, everything is fine. Except we forgot to pack our wool coats. It is a little cool in the evenings. We will be here for seven more days and then will head out East.
