Description: Belas Lake is a very shallow, small, natural quiet fishing lake. Belas Lake contains about 30 acres of surface waters. Half of the land around the lake is owned by the State of Michigan and is in Crane Pond State Game Area. Fishermen report catches of Pike up to 49 inches as well as Big Bluegills and Crappie of 16 inches, Largemouth Bass, and Yellow Perch. Belas Lake is just outside of Vandalia, from Vandalia head East on M 60 to White Temple Rd. Turn left (North) on White Temple and follow to Lewis. Turn right on Lewis and follow to Quaker St. Turn right on Quaker and follow to Kirk Road. Go right (South) on Kirk to lake. Lake will be on West side of the road. Belas Lake is North of Kirk Lake (41 acres). Belas Lake is 119 miles from Chicago, 20 miles from Elkhart and 32 miles from South Bend. |
